JULIA STOSCHEK COLLECTION
Complete redesign and conceptual reorientation of the website for the JULIA STOSCHEK COLLECTION, one of the leading institutions for time-based media. The new platform turns the collection’s extensive archive into a dynamic research tool and a calm, structured digital experience.
MY ROLE
I developed the visual direction and interactive prototypes, translating the existing identity into a cohesive digital experience. Working closely with the senior design team, client, and developers, I ensured that the visual language aligned with the collection’s conceptual framework and functioned seamlessly within the new system.
The design reflects the collection’s focus on moving image and performance through a precise, modular system. Subtle motion and clear hierarchy establish a rhythm that feels both contemporary and timeless, translating the architecture and curatorial approach of the collection into a consistent digital identity.
With and for Studio von Monkiewitsch, in collaboration with Tim Rodenbröker and Michael Pichler.
The development of the digital platform was guided by a deep understanding of the collection’s scope and curatorial logic. Rather than imposing a fixed structure, the design process unfolded around the artworks themselves: testing, mapping, and refining ways of making a vast video archive accessible, navigable, and visually coherent.
